"I don't suppose I've ever believed in raw, gifted talent. Inspiration is worthless without the technical skills to deliver a concept in the creative process. I do, however, believe in sensitivity and creative imagination, combined with the skills and the tools of the trade. Drawing is the heavy-duty tool in approaching a problem, whether two-dimensional or three-dimensional. I consider it the midwife of the medium. It's not around for the conception of the idea, but instrumental in the delivery of the art form."
